As a child, Antonio Carluccio ‘the godfather of Italian gastronomy’ would hunt through the forest with his father gathering fresh fungi and mushrooms Our concept for the murals in this restaurant evolved and found itself in this simple story of a child and his father adventuring to- gether. Edible colors, loose lines and a soft watercolor finish kept the whimsy of childhood while still maintaining a street quality by letting the natural texture of the concrete underneath show through. The designers at Harrison wanted to revitalize rebranding for the restaurant by veering away from framed art and creating murals that would breathe new life into the Carluccio’s dining experience.
